Cameron and Hight make All-State teams

The selections have been released for the Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA) and Oklahoma All-State teams. Both rosters list Lady Irish basketball players who came off their first year in Class 5A with a 27-2 record and more importantly, a state championship.

Junior forward Elyse Hight was selected to the Oklahoma 5A All-State girls team, with an honorable mention to senior forward Alexa Lienhard. Also, senior guard Caroline Cameron was named to the OCA All-State team.

Elyse Hight’s 13.9 points per game and presence down low made her a more than deserving candidate for the honor, and the same can be said about Alexa Lienhard who wreaked havoc along side Hight.

Caroline Cameron’s senior season at Bishop McGuinness ended in a special way with the first girls basketball state championship won in the history of the program. Cameron will play for the Large West roster against the East in the annual OCA All-State game on July 27 at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, OK.
