All day we’ve been awaiting the official announcement of the 4A State Playoff pairings. McGuinness’ 8-2 record propelled them to the #2 spot in District 1, and will take on Tecumseh High School on Friday.

THS finished out the year with a pretty good record of 7-3, and two of their losses came from district play. However, Tecumseh was blown out in all three of their losses. The Savages gave up 106 points total in those three losses alone. McGuinness’ defense should be able to abuse the offense that hasn’t posed much of a threat, and the defense should have a fun night. Hopefully the boys don’t have a letdown, and don’t get lazy on an opponent that is obviously playoff material.

The game starts at 7:30 on Friday night at Pribil Stadium, and IOD will have the camera set up. Like we’ve done all year, we will update you on the score after every touchdown with our twitter account (@IrishOnDeck). More to come on this game on Tuesday, when we come back with our pre-game report.
