QB Quinn Shanbour Breaks Ankle
After a long Monday, we finally have the confirmation we need to verify a rumor spreading thoughout the McGuinness campus. Starting QB Quinn Shanbour’s ankle is in fact broken, and will keep him for up to six weeks. Shanbour went down in Friday night’s game, and all Irish fans can say is, “In Tharp We Trust.”
Camden Tharp will more than likely be starting at quarterback this upcoming game between the Irish and Milwood. Tharp was one of the team members seeking the quarterback position, but Coach Young felt Shanbour was right for the job. A lot of pressure is now put on the offense to make big plays. The team has only allowed two touchdowns this season so far, and the defense looks almost championship caliber.
Now it’s the offense’s turn to try and make it big against the top team in 2A. Milwood isn’t a team to be taken lightly, but with a loud home crowd; the Irish should have good odds in winning this game.
