And the annual Battle of the Bishops will take place the very next week. However, there is no break after those two [...]

McGuinness Jumps to Class 5A
Towards the top, eh? Not quite. The new ADM has been released, and Bishop McGuinness has been moved from Class 4A to 5A. McGuinness ranks as the smallest school in 5A, but not all sports are making the change. Tennis, wrestling, swimming, and cross country are Irish sports already classified at 5A. Three of those [...]

It was everything the Trojans had hoped for. The undefeated Douglass High School Trojans destroyed Bishop McGuinness on Saturday, 86-51. It’s been four years since McGuinness’ victory over the Trojans in the 4A State Championship Game. That was a game people were talking about for awhile. This game will probably erased from the Irish’s memory [...]

It’s been a year since their last meeting. Star Spencer ruined the Irish’s four-peat, and the Bobcats were hoping to stop McGuinness from appearing in a fifth consecutive championship game. Joe Edmonds stole the show on Thursday, but it was Jameel Whitney (14 points) and Matt Christiansen (15 points) who came up big in the [...]

Emily Conrad & Whitney Ritchie win fourth consecutive tennis state championship
When you talk about dynasties around McGuinness, girl’s tennis is certainly one of them. A Talk with Daniel Orton

Bulldogs Get Bounced by Irish in Quarterfinals, 67-27
There isn’t one McGuinness fan smiling after the dominating performance by the Irish this afternoon. Oklahoma Christian University hosted the 3rd-ranked Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish and the unranked Cache Bulldogs. Cache was one of two teams unranked who made the dance, and their position in the 4A polls were clearly for a reason. The Irish [...]
